chicks arent really different
at least thats how i see it
just a bit of rearranged skin
just a couple knobby bits
are those enough to determine her mind
enough to gague her worth
i think its strange
that we shackle the source of birth
that is profoud i'll agree to that
but it's not enough to elevate them above
in the same sense we should't try and be doing that crap
eschew equality and love
fifties wives are fucking sick
and looking at womens rights is crazy
we're all born equal don't you see
our self imposed mental prison is hazy
fucking rediculous that we can't think for oruselves
we've gotta be so damn conservative
people don't think out loud for themselves
instead they follow the lives they've been forced to live
and nobody makes much progress from there
they've leared to be submissive and quiet
but in the 80s there was this neat movement
that lit the fuse for the grrl riot
people need to stand up for their space
and like those rappers of the early hip hop days
creating space through their music
their words beats and outrage
they create space for themselves
to exist within
and inside that vaccuum they cleared away
their lives truely were ready to begin
safe from harm bad words and looks
the people were able to create with freedom
just add some bass to knock off the hooks
and blast away with words, go read them
they wrote stuff that'll open minds
and stem the tide of ignorance
but is this something that should be confined
to the african american experience
nah i think we need to ship up
and recognize we have a power
to end all pain and make possible the progress
now is our dying hour
