its amazing how much someone can mean to you

its amazing how much someone can mean to you
it tears you apart when they're gone
you wish they were live and well
but you know wishing that's wrong
they died and now you've got to face it
you've lost someone close
we build such strong bonds with our friends
the people who matter the most
its other people that we value so dearly
in this life we live
and when they die its hard to let slide
and we're hard pressed to forgive
the nature of the world we live in
that which takes from us
its in the end that which limits how we live
that give us reason to be close
but when we lose something good
it hurts us down deep real bad
and when they're gone it's like there's a whole
sometimes drives grown men mad
but over time the hole will heal
as we are still young and well
and as things pass and new things come
we'll tell our sadness to go to hell
the people enter our life
and we value them alot
as they come we dont think much
but without them our lives are fraught
and when theyre gone we feel so alone
it pains us deep inside
we've always enjoyed them around us
we thought they were there for the ride
but we're all on our own course in life
life ebbes and flows with time
one day my time will come
and ill leave nothing but this rhyme
but sometimes we intersect our lives
if only for a bit
those times spent with others close
are ones that are fit
for strong remembrance and high valuation
thats the nature of our being
we shrug and move on as best we can
but sometimes it's hard to shake the feeling.
