we bought a 40 dollar drumset
got it from target
the guy at the store
told us to avoid it
but i got it anyway
it was so cheap
and ive been lookin for a set
so to speak
so i picked it up
shelled out the cash
drove it him
added it to the stash
seems like a neat
piece of machinery
plug it in
make drum music finery
the live show is already cool
we dont do much energy shit
im ready not to appear a fool
we'll take over this shit
people try to talk about being punks
but really walk around as conservatives
wearing the clothes and walking the walk
but afraid to utter explicatives
these people seem to be
strangers to these lands
these towns are way too small
to have real indie bands
but they call themselves that anyway
its trendy to do so
but the real people
don't really live in this time no more
you'll find them
out on the coasts
that's where we
desire to go
we're hopin to be
in a decent place
where the people will see
we're just creating space
dancing wildly
people smile
we'll have some fun
and enjoy it awhile
