craig fergusons on tv and we watch gleefully
as the guy cracks his jokes
from scotland so he says
a true british bloke
and thats where i once hailed from
whilst a child for sure
and as he tells his jokes from hell
i sense the british lure
its a reminder of a place i used to enjoy
where i once lived and schooled
and i had all sorts of friend and likes
they really had me fooled
i thought id be staying for quite awhile
instead i moved quite soon
it wasnt all that great you see
being shipped off to the moon
well it might as well have been lunar
as the people i'd met on theother side
were completely strange and unfamiliar
and it wasn't a smooth ride
in fact for years i struggled with it
the lost people and places
moving so many times after
it just wasnt more than running races
and the few friends i made over years
were alike only in misery
as that became my calling card
all pleasure a former history
and so my crowd became quite sour
dysfunction rife and pure
and that led me out of studies and stuff
drugs and dysfunction for sure
death soon befell a friend
and that woke me up
i stopped with the drinking then
and cleaned myself up
got home and started to talk with family
and again began a relation
and we we spoke about many things
they became aware of my situation
so now we're here this tenuous state
where they know me better
and hopefully this will lead to things
great to the letter
