the kirby kid has run away
he drove far in his car
we paid his gas he went on his way
and drove away real far
he wanted us to follow him
a tall order indeed
we had a drive ahead of us
and this one was without need
instead of stopping and chatting a bit
he just blew up on the phone
naming names and hurting feelings
the guys got a heart of chrome
he mentioned burial in our talkings
a guy he seems to respect
but its silly how he seems to act these days
ultimately sheer direspect
it doesnt make sense to act like that
just drive away like a pansy
if youc alled us up and we visit on birthdays
you should do more than act like a nancy
his mother was worried and i talked her straight
he just needs to commit to a camera
but apparently the video isnt what he wants
he wants a point and shoot panorama
it doesnt make sense he majored in film
but then he's never made much sense
the dude might be brilliant and smart at times
but on the whole he's just plain dense
you can't believe you'll make it far
taking shitty little shots

you'll just be one of hte have nots
so the kid who was once a guy i ate meals with
is now not more than a creep
after all he stood by while the ambulence carted me
giving me months of nightmared sleep
there was no need for the pickup
he knew this in his head
but he let it happen anyway

then afterwards wants to be friends
